    Lesson Twenty-Two - Placing An Image In A Blog

     

    Choose your Image that you want to place in the blog and have it hosted by a storage website.

    There are many of these. For some suggestions, see my column headed Storage Sites.

     

    I use photobucket and am very pleased with them.

    The following directions apply to photobucket

     

    When you have uploaded your photo it will be stored in your album and it will have 3 codes attatched to it. You can easily copy and paste these codes.

    • The first code is the URL. When ever you see a piece of code that has a URL in it you can replace it with your URL code
    • The second is a tag. You use the tag to reproduce the image into your blog.
    • The third is an img. You use this to reproduce the image into someones online guestbook.

    We are concerned here with Placing the image in your blog.

    This is very simple.

    • Copy the tag
    • Open the <HTML> in your blog
    • Paste the tag into it.

    By default the image will appear on the left of the blog.

    Add this piece of code before the tag to place it either in the center or on the right

    <div align=center>

    or

    <div align=right>

    India I just have to say again I really like your place here. I have you listed on my site under expert helpers because to me you are. :) Your lessons are plentiful and very easy to follow. When others ask me to do something I send them to you...hehehe!!! You describe everything so well, so why not right? lol.

    thank you for visiting so promptly. I enjoyed playing with the tweakUI and I finally get it managed. It would be easier if one could see immediately the changes when writng the tweahUI. Thank you that you say my space is calming, that is what I wanted to do, first it was clear white with some green and no borders.

    Nice that you are a native american fan as well, I make shaman tools as you can see on the foto's of my tools, I work with them and the medicine wheel.
